Summary: Under the direction of the Third Party Billing Manager, the Billing Coordinator is primarily concerned with the reconciling of the monthly billing scheduled and/or submitted by the programs. The Billing Coordinator is responsible for checking EVS, reconciling claims, reconciliation of payments and collections of all assigned accounts receivable. - - -BAMSI is a private, non-profit culturally diverse human services organization providing services to adults and children with developmental disabilities, mental illness, behavioral health, and public health needs. --- Run aging reports to identify and resolve unpaid dates of service.--- Code unpaid dates of service for resolution in ARPlus.--- Answer inquiries from insurance companies to expedite payments.--- Problem solve/coordinate billing and/or payment discrepancies with program staff.--- Communicate with our billing company changes in billing procedures as necessitated by regulations or third party billing sources.--- Type correspondence, reports, etc. as needed.--- Call insurance companies to resolve unpaid claims.--- Remain up to date with all regulations to ensure billing accuracy.--- Perform duties consistent with agency/program policies and procedures.--- Execute duties to reflect reasonable safety standards. Universal/standard precautions must be utilized and training obtained in areas that constitute risk.--- Perform other related work duties as needed or as assigned by supervisor or designee.

--- High School Diploma or equivalency with office experience required.--- 3-5 years of third party billing experience required.--- Knowledge of ARPlus billing software desired.--- Microsoft Office experience required.--- Must possess good organizational skills and be proficient in working with figures.--- Must be able to work well with others as well as independently.
