with a reputable and well-established Rhode Island organization to
recruit a Compliance Coordinator (Affordable Housing) is
responsible for maintaining accurate tenant ledgers, managing rent
payment records, and ensuring regulatory adherence for subsidized
housing properties. This role focuses on the financial integrity of
the property by reconciling payments, monitoring delinquencies, and
resolving ledger discrepancies. Key Responsibilities of the
Compliance Coordinator (Affordable Housing) Conduct line-by-line
reviews of resident ledgers to ensure accuracy in charges,
payments, and fees. Post and reconcile tenant payments using Yardi
(including CheckScan and PayScan). Review Aged Delinquency reports
and coordinate with Senior Staff to resolve manual corrections.
Generate 30-day demand notices, rent reminders, and credit memos.
Conduct outbound calls to residents regarding unpaid rent and meet
with them to explain ledger discrepancies. Ensure all property
activities comply with the required regulations. Gather and upload
documentation for HUD Management and Occupancy Reviews (MOR), REAC
Inspections, and annual auditor reviews. Verify that move-in files,
renewals, and recertification documents are complete, signed, and
audit-ready. Compile submissions for Reasonable Accommodations and
manage Replacement Reserve disbursement requests for Director
approval. Prepare annual notifications for the waiting list across
10 properties and assist site staff with the purging process.
Schedule hearings for denied applicants and prepare comprehensive
hearing packets for the committee. Provide on-site assistance
during staff absences or high-volume periods, such as annual
recertifications. Manage office supplies, monitor equipment
maintenance contracts, and process invoices/Purchase Orders for
site staff. Required Skills & Qualifications of the Compliance
Coordinator (Affordable Housing) Proven experience in accounting
and rent collection. Previous experience with Yardi,
RealPage/OneSite, or AppFolio (preferred) Proficiency in Microsoft
Office Suite, intermediate excel. Understanding of affordable
housing regulation is a plus. Exceptional accuracy in reviewing
data, legal contracts, and financial records. Associate or
Bachelor’s degree in a related field Excellent interpersonal skills
Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a significant plus. Pay : $20 - $25
