Job Description:
Posting Summary The Deputy Director of Housing and Residential
Programs ( HRP ) is a core member of the University Housing &
Dining Services ( UHDS ) senior leadership team, shaping
departmental strategy, organizational structure, and priorities.
Reporting to the Executive Director of Housing & Residential Life,
this role provides operational leadership to ensure seamless
housing and residential program delivery. This position oversees
housing operations, residential education, strategic initiatives,
and academic engagement, managing policies, processes, and systems
that support 6,500 student beds across 41 residence halls in 11
complexes. This position fosters a high-performing leadership team,
translates strategic goals into actionable outcomes, and
collaborates with campus partners to enhance student experiences,
operational efficiency, and financial sustainability. This role
also represents UHDS on committees and serves as a point of
escalation for complex issues. Desirable Qualifications Knowledge
of best practices related to living and learning programs and
services designed to promote student success. Other Information
Extended hours and crisis management-related stress. Required to
work evenings and weekends to respond to emergencies and attend
University-wide programs as needed to support the residential
experience.
