The Own Brands Marketing Department has an opening for an Assistant Manager, Brand Marketing. This position is open to remote/virtual work and can be located in Pleasanton, CA, Phoenix, AZ, Plano, TX, Boise, ID.

Position Purpose

The Assistant Brand Marketing Manager will develop best in class integrated omni-channel brand, marketing, ecommerce plans for high profile private label brands: O Organics, Open Nature, Signature, Lucerne and more. Drive innovative and creative thinking that will elevate Own Brands' brand initiatives to the next level. In partnership with Sr. Brand Marketing/ Marketing Manager oversee brand vision, marketing strategy, and retail execution.

Assistant Brand Marketing Manager will work with cross functional teams, product development, consumer insights, package design, financial planning & sourcing resources to drive total growth of Own Brands and brand authenticity.

Key Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To

Lead the developments of in-market success of marketing campaign and initiatives

  • Assist in strategic planning and manage the day-to-day execution of integrated marketing campaigns including but not limited to digital, social, PR, influencer, ecommerce, print advertising, promotions, associate education, merchandising displays, signage, sampling, events and more
  • Ensure brand integrity and accuracy by reviewing and approving all marketing materials
  • Effectively manage projects, great attention to details to set up promotional offers and measure results
  • Deliver creative thinking by monitoring social trends, grassroots activations and provide inspiration for content initiatives
  • Serve as an Own Brands Ambassador for all cross functional teams, including Product Management, Finance, National Shopper Marketing, eCommerce, Loyalty, and division Marketing
  • Partner with Divisions and Sales team to ensure strong execution of initiatives. Represent marketing function in division sales meetings/ calls. Collaborate with Sales and Brand/ Product Management teams on activations supporting Own Brands sales growth
  • Conduct Postmortem Recap summarizing campaign results and recommendations
  • Ability to analyze multiple data sources, especially consumer trends and insights, and draw strong conclusions
  • Financial understanding of all Marketing metrics and measures sales impact and ROI of all tactics
    Qualifications
    • 4-year college degree in business or equivalent experience preferred.
    • 3+ years' experience selling / influencing decision makers
    • 3+ years' experience in brand management, marketing, or advertising, preferred industries CPG, Retail or Advertising Agency
    • Strong organizational and attention to detail
    • Exceptional project management skills and ability to successfully manage multiple priorities
    • Strong customer service focus and team building skills.
    • Strong understanding of the Albertsons divisions and how to influence merchandising
    • Experience in executing marketing plans
    • Ability to motivate and influence stakeholders across the organization
    • Ability to combine creative problem solving, analyzing multiple data sources, especially consumer trends and insights, and strategic thinking in a fluid environment, analytical problem-solving skills
    • Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication/presentation skills
    • Resourceful, well organized, highly dependable, efficient, and detailed oriented
    • Self-motivated, and the ability to act with a sense of urgency, intensity, commitment, and integrity. High initiative.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel and syndicated data (IRI, Nielsen)
