We are seeking a full-time School Psychologist to join our Pre-K
Diagnostic Team, supporting the initial eligibility evaluation
process for students ages 3–5 in Brockton. This role is highly
collaborative and aligned with a play-based, transdisciplinary
approach. Key Responsibilities: Participate in initial eligibility
evaluations using Dr. Toni Linder’s Transdisciplinary Play-Based
Assessment (TPBA) model. Observe students and actively support the
play-based evaluation process. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary
team to develop a single comprehensive evaluation report for each
student. Conduct home assessments via phone to gather background
information from parents/guardians, as needed. Support the
implementation of intervention blocks through an RTI model (6–8
weeks), including direct involvement in interventions and progress
monitoring. Present evaluation results at meetings and write the
School Psychologist sections of the IEP for eligible students.
Assist in writing IEPs following determination of eligibility.
Workload Expectations: Approximately 6 evaluations and 8 meetings
per week. Intervention blocks: 3 days per week, with 2 planning
periods built into the schedule. About the Team: This is a
collaborative and child-centered team that prioritizes a play-based
model over traditional cognitive assessments. The team works
together to support students and families through the evaluation
and intervention process.
