About the position: This member of our Process Development Team
will be entrusted with fulfilling our mission of bringing smart
displays to the world. The Process Development Engineer is
responsible for creating or improving systems that enable
commercial- scale production of E Ink’s unique electrophoretic
materials – including pigments, colloidal dispersions,
microcapsules, and other additives – through innovation and
exploration. This team member will work on cross-functional teams
and will be responsible for delivering solutions that address both
the technical and business challenges of the project, and will
develop into a subject matter expert able to succeed on a variety
of different projects and project teams. Responsibilities Design
and optimize novel chemical processes for the commercial production
of E Ink’s surface treated pigments, microcapsules, and dispersions
Deliver innovative, capable, and reliable processes to E Ink's
manufacturing team within capacity, budget, and timeline
constraints Plan and execute experiments to identify, evaluate, and
control the properties of materials or process steps that are
critical to final product performance Create, evaluate, source,
install, and qualify new process equipment to enable scale-up of
lab-discovered materials and processes Communicate technical
findings comprehensively to both technical and commercial audiences
Lead efforts to qualify chemical processes with our Operations team
in South Hadley, MA Support existing production operations as
needed Qualifications BS or MS, Engineering or Science field
strongly preferred Strong quantitative and critical thinking skills
Experience with or an ability to master Design of Experiments (DOE)
and Statistical Analysis Ability to function effectively as a
member of cross-functional, cross-disciplinary teams, and
inter-corporate teams Demonstrated ability to provide innovative
solutions to complex problems Desire to be hands-on and work across
the benchtop, pilot, and manufacturing scales Benefits: Competitive

: The annual base salary range for this position is $95,000 to
$125,000 not including any variable pay. The total compensation
package may include performance-based incentives, discretionary
bonuses, and other variable pay components. The salary range for
this position reflects a reasonable estimate at the time of posting
and may vary based on factors such as experience, skills,
education, certifications, and location.
