Job Description Job Description Exo Talent Partners is partnering confidentially with a well-established U.S. manufacturer of advanced magnetic components to hire a Senior Electrical Design Engineer with deep expertise in high-frequency power magnetics. This is a hands-on senior engineering role in which you design custom magnetic components for mission-critical applications across Defense, Aerospace, Industrial, and Commercial sectors. The position offers high visibility, direct customer interaction, and a clear path to technical leadership or engineering management within 6–12 months, contingent on performance and business needs. What You’ll Do Lead the design of transformers, inductors, planar magnetics, chokes, EMI filters, and high-voltage magnetic assemblies Own designs end-to-end from customer requirements through validation and production release Design high-frequency switching power magnetics across all major power conversion topologies Interface directly with aerospace and defense customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders Develop and execute prototype builds, testing, and performance validation Apply SPICE, 3D CAD, and electromagnetic FEA tools to support design decisions Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical direction and process improvements What We’re Looking For Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline 5 years of electrical engineering experience Hands-on experience designing magnetic components and/or SMPS circuits Strong understanding of high-frequency magnetics, materials, and loss mechanisms Experience in defense, aerospace, or regulated manufacturing environments preferred Interest in growing into a technical lead or engineering management role Why This Role Defined and realistic path to engineering leadership Technically challenging, real-world products with long program lifecycles High ownership, visibility, and direct customer exposure Leadership growth without stepping away from hands-on engineering Compliance & Equal Employment Opportunity Exo Talent Partners and our client are Equal Opportunity Employers.
