Ryder seeks an experienced and dedicated Diesel Mechanic to join our Technical & Maintenance team within the Automotive industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing diesel engines that power our diverse fleet of vehicles. By leveraging Ryder’s commitment to innovation and efficiency, the Diesel Mechanic will play a crucial role in ensuring operational excellence and superior service delivery. This role is pivotal to maintaining the high standards of vehicle performance and safety that Ryder is known for. Perform routine vehicle maintenance and inspections according to manufacturer’s specifications and company standards. Diagnose malfunctions using electronic testing equipment, and execute repairs to engines, transmissions, exhaust systems, and other major components. Adhere to all safety policies and protocols within the workshop environment. Document service and repair processes and maintain detailed records of all preventive and corrective maintenance performed. Assist in the management of parts inventory necessary for maintenance and repairs. Collaborate with other team members to facilitate knowledge-sharing and optimize overall team performance. Provide emergency on-site repair to minimize vehicle downtime. In-depth knowledge of diesel engines and components. Proficiency with diagnostic software and electronic testing tools. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance 401k ASE Diesel Certification - highly desirable Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) - preferred but not required
