Director, Digital Technology---2100464-Description-SBNA is undertaking a bold digital transformation. The Director of Digital Technology is responsible for conceptualizing, prototyping, and leading the vision and customer experience for all users. The incumbent manages the roadmap, delivery of new features, and operational excellence for Digital platforms. Additionally, s/he plays a vital role in establishing technology strategy and development of enterprise data platform for regulatory reporting across the organization. - This highly technical role is responsible for understanding, influencing and enabling the business strategy by deploying the relevant digital and data technologies. Accountable as the single point of contact for the Digital technology stack, there will be specific focus on Mobile and Online capabilities for both Sales and Service.- Delivering and maintaining capabilities to enhance customer experience and satisfaction is key. - The role requires partnership between the business leadership team and the Consumer & Business Banking (CBB) IT leadership teams.- The position acts as an advisor to the business, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels including C-suite to guide and co-create new capabilities that are directly relevant to the CBB strategies. The successful candidate will be a highly motivated, responsive and results orientated individual with exceptional technical skills, relationship development, communication skills, strong project, financial and management experience. - Responsibilities: -

  • Deep understanding of the Digital business, associated technology strategy and technical stack that you are accountable for
  • Understands the IT solutions supporting the Digital channels and influences and improves the solutions to support the customer experience and revenue growth goals of the Bank
  • Act as a single point of contact within Technology for Digital, understanding how the broader IT organization operates so appropriate IT resources can be quickly be engaged to deliver the best solutions
  • Fosters strong relationships with Digital Product Owners to promote customer satisfaction and growth. Aligns with, collaborates and influences business and IT leaders
  • A single point of contact for your geography and business
  • Acts as an advisor and partner in translating the business strategy to identify and deliver relevant solutions that add value
    • Manages the Roadmap for implementing new features for the Enterprise Platform
    • Leads a team of architects, senior developers and domain SMEs to deliver-target outcomes leveraging agile and waterfall methodologies
    • Develops data architecture, integration, processing and controls best practices
    • Authors and drives feature specifications with the dedicated Engineering team
    • Defines the customer journey and user experience and partners with creative staff to deliver amazing designs. Hands-on creation of new feature prototypes. Reviews, evaluates, and prioritizes new feature development requests from Clients, Sales, or Service teams, establishing KPIs for the technology team and providing transparency through KPI measurement / reporting
      • Accountable for all appropriate risk and security measures for the Digital Channels
      • Manages a roadmap to address technology debt and obsolescence
      • Evolves appropriate Information Security and cyber capabilities for the Digital channels
        • Accountability for day-to-day IT operations and performance affecting the business. Ensures all IT operations (Infrastructure and Applications) are stable, meeting service levels and being proactively managed to avoid any business disruption -Qualifications-Skills and Abilities: -
          Demonstrated knowledge of the latest technology innovations and their applicability to business operations Proven experience of owning, defining and evolving a Digital technical stack definition to support Digital capabilities in the Financial Services or regulated space Demonstrated relationship management and leadership skills with a superior ability to make things happen through the use of influence and negotiation with all levels of management Strong program, project management, and leadership skills Strong reporting, decision making, analytical and problem-solving skills Highly flexible and able to quickly adapt to changing priorities Highly organized, self-motivated, customer oriented and able to work independently as well as within a team Demonstrated understanding of IT Service Management concepts and procedures, experience leading role Incident Management scenarios; driving troubleshooting, root cause analysis; ensuring adequate updates/reporting provided to stakeholders IT Effectiveness: application sourcing, technology strategy and planning; experience of procurement processes to select appropriate vendor solutions in terms of solution, service levels and price
          • Extensive vendor management skills
          • Proven experience with managing external third-party managed service providers and software vendors ensuring service levels are met; driving improvement plans as needed
            Proactive team player with effective time management skills; ability to work independently, manage multiple deadlines/projects and keep key players informed Proven track record managing large, complex software development/integration projects in both host and distributed environments Quality management skills, demonstrated experience in the development of test strategies and assessing testing scope impact analysis associated to technical change Knowledge of secure coding standards and testing techniques Experience evolving the use of Testing Automation tools such as Selenium and Perfecto
            • API definition, development and integration; experience of leveraging solutions such as API Connect, Apigee, Mulesoft, Springboot
            • Proven experience evolving the use of continuous delivery and integration techniques using tools such as Confluence, JIRA, Jenkins
            • Skilled in balancing technical debt elimination and technical currency with innovative change
            • Experience defining and delivering Cyber protection techniques and implementation e.g WAFs and Bot Manager solutions
            • Strong IT Project/Program Management; experience in evolving an organization from Waterfall to Agile
            • Familiarity with integrating vendor solutions in Digital space such as Zelle, Billpay and payments capabilities
            • Knowledge of implementing and managing Content Management solutions such as Content Manager, Filenet, Liferay
            • Proven track record of driving change in processes and organizations, while maintaining working relationships with key business customers
            • Versed in Risk management possessing ability to identify, analyze, track, manage and resolve risks issues that impact project
            • Expert in technology solutions such as PaaS, SaaS, and Cloud solutions and impact on General IT Controls and Standards
            • Strong knowledge of information management, data protection, data quality, data constraints and Governance Frameworks-
            • Budgeting and forecasting, Demonstrated knowledge of external competition, industry and/or market trends in relation to own business - - Physical Demand: -

              Bachelor's Degree in computer science engineering or a equivalent discipline Master's Degree in computer science engineering or an equivalent discipline or equivalent work experience - Work Experience: -
