Bluestone BankDescription: Responsible for the oversight and management of Credit Department including Commercial Loan Underwriting, Annual Financial Reviews, and Portfolio Reporting.

  • Lead, coach, develop, and manage staff. Assumes Credit Analyst responsibilities as needed. Will also support appraisal and environmental reviews.
  • Manages the workflow to ensure timely and complete underwriting of new loan requests with compliance to the lending policy. Provides loan officer support with difficult relationships as well as complex loan structures.
  • Manage the timely completion of annual financial reviews on the commercial loan portfolio as well as RDC & ACH customers.
  • Prepares and reviews portfolio reports for Relationship Managers and others as needed.
  • Manages portfolio stress testing, CRE concentration reporting, and other reports as necessary for the Credit Committee and the Board of Directors.
  • Ensures all condition of approval are satisfied prior to loan closing.
  • Completes special projects as assigned including, but not limited to, adapting the Bank's computer systems to accomplish Credit Administration projects which aide in identifying credit risks; utilizing existing software application knowledge to create and design reporting for Credit Administration projects; creates management reports as they relate to Credit Administration compliance and exceptions.
  • Implement a system of credit analysis and quality assurance for loans made as required by board directives; assign risk ratings as needed in conjunction with loan loss reserve analysis.
  • Keeps abreast of all regulatory issues and makes sure the bank is in compliance.
  • Assists with the development, and implements appropriate lending policies and procedures. Including appraisal and environmental guidelines.
  • Communicates effectively with Relationship Managers on the development of Credit Administration policies and procedures and serves as a resource for credit policy and procedure interpretations for commercial lending officers; maintaining a strong working relationship.
  • Solicits input from peer institutions and other banking related organizations regarding conventional wisdom in the areas of general policy and procedure development.
  • Assumes additional responsibilities as requested. Requirements:
    • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field.
    • 5-7 years progressively responsible, directly related work experience including credit policy analysis and regulatory practices; formal credit training preferable.
    • Strong management and communication skills.
    • Ability to work in a team environment and meet tight time frames.
