Job Description:

Our client is currently seeking a Director of Operations for a baked goods manufacturing company in the Boston, Massachusettes area.Responsibilities:Strategically oversee and manage day-to-day plant operations, directing managers and supervisors across various departments.Drive operational excellence by analyzing metrics, generating reports, and implementing strategies to enhance safety, quality, customer service, and cost-efficiency.Champion compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), regulatory standards, and company policies to maintain a secure working environment.Set and communicate operational objectives, ensuring alignment with budgetary and performance requirements.Foster a culture of continuous improvement by initiating and supporting location-wide improvement initiatives.Develop and nurture a skilled workforce, measuring employee and team performance, and cultivating positive employee relations.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement best practices, innovative solutions, and efficient processes.Manage customer relations, resolve issues, and ensure products meet customer specifications and expectations.
Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree in Business, Engineering, Operation Management, Finance, or related field AND 7 years of food manufacturing experience, including managerial roles; OR Associate's Degree in the aforementioned fields AND 10 years of food manufacturing experience with managerial responsibilities.Proven leadership skills demonstrated through effective team management, decision-making, and accountability establishment.Profound familiarity with business principles, budgeting, and strategic planning, alongside technical expertise in equipment and processes relevant to the industry.Strong communication skills, both written and spoken, to foster relationships and collaborate seamlessly with cross-functional teams.Comprehensive understanding of safety protocols, regulatory compliance, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), including experience managing safety standards and accident prevention.Exceptional analytical capabilities, enabling you to assess data, metrics, and reports to drive continuous operational improvements.Proficiency in Microsoft Windows environment, encompassing spreadsheet and word applications.
