This position is an active member of the treatment team, providing staff education as needed on psychological issues and consultation to the treatment teams.QualificationsEducation for Psychologist:

  • Doctorate in psychologyExperience for Psychologist:
    • Experience with mental health delivery systems
    • Significant professional experience in the mental field that indicates knowledge of diagnosis and treatment of psychological disorders and psychological evaluation techniques, including psychological assessment instrumentsLicenses/Certifications for Psychologist:
      • Licensed to practice psychology in the State by the appropriate state licensing agencyResponsibilities
      • Provides Annual Treatment Progress Reviews to the Courts.
      • Conducts comprehensive evaluations to assist in sex offender treatment planning.
      • Conducts testing to provide diagnostic clarity when indicated.
      • Serves as a consultant to the multidisciplinary teams and Clinical Leadership.
      • Supervises and trains psychology post-doctoral fellows, when appropriate.
      • Provides training to new employees and other staff when required.
      • Must demonstrate exceptional personal and professional boundaries.
      • Must be able to apply principles of critical thinking to a variety of practical and emergent situations and accurately follow standardized procedures that may call for deviations.
      • Must be able to apply sound judgment beyond a specific set of instructions and apply knowledge to different factual situations.
      • Must be alert at all times; pay close attention to details.
      • Must be able to work under stress on a regular or continuous basis.
