Job Title: Emergency Room Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Nights Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 3 years in Emergency Room nursing License: Current multi-state RN License Certifications: BLS, ACLS required; TNCC preferred Must-Have: Familiarity with or ability to quickly learn Meditech Description: An excellent opportunity for an experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse is available. In this fast-paced position, the Emergency Department RN provides direct care and evaluates outcomes. The RN consults with other specialties as required and adjusts the nursing care process as indicated to ensure optimal patient care. Working well under pressure is essential as RNs collaborate with other health team members to coordinate medical and nursing management of patient care. This is a very busy Emergency Department, and RNs must be able to learn quickly and be proactive team members. The Emergency Department has nine beds and sees over 15,000 patients per year, with an expansion currently underway. This facility provides primary and preventive care, surgical and specialty services, inpatient and outpatient care, and 24-hour physician-staffed emergency services. Credentialing must be completed promptly to prevent any delays in the start date. Holiday coverage will be required.
