AHA BLS, ACLS Must-Have: Must be willing to float between multiple
units Description: This position involves floating throughout the
hospital to various Med/Surg Tele areas. The role includes
responsibilities for cardiac monitoring, cardiac drips, and reading
telemetry strips. Telemetry monitoring skills are essential,
including measuring intervals and interpreting strips every four
hours. Experience with TR Band is required. The clinician to
patient ratio is up to 5:1 during days and evenings, and up to 6:1
at night. The patient population includes ED border patients,
medication administration in acute mental health units, and care
for non-vented patients who are transfer-ready in the ICU. Units
may range from 8 to 41 beds. There will be rotation requirements
that include shifts transitioning from days/evenings to nights
within the contract period. Charting will be done using an
electronic medical record system. Candidates must possess an active
RN license, current BLS certification, and ACLS certification.
