We endeavor to be a highly effective, lean, and fast-moving organization.The Snack Bar Staff is responsible for performing various duties within the Resort's fast food / snack bar establishment and is comprised of Snack Bar Cooks and Attendants. This is a seasonal full or part-time position and reports to the Food & Beverage Supervisor.DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESSnack Bar Cook (Age 16+)Prepare food items consistently with regards to brand standards and food safety standardsProvide food preparation by cleaning, washing, measuring, cuttingCook food items according to company recipes and proceduresMaintains safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following sanitation standards and procedures complying with legal regulationsKeeps supplies and foodstuffs ready by reporting low levels of food & food-prep supplies, condiments, napkins, straws, etc. for guest useEnhance kitchen and organization reputation by accepting ownership of your assigned areasClean tables and chairs, sweep/mop floors, and empty trash in the kitchen and dining areaAssist Snack Bar Attendant as neededParticipate in other projects and activities as assignedSnack Bar Attendant (Age 14+)Required to greet guests, give recommendations based on customer feedback, and take ordersAccurately complete cash, credit, and gift card transactions using point of sale system while following proper cash handling proceduresStock condiments, napkins, straws, etc. for guest useExpedite orders as neededClean tables and chairs, sweep/mop floors, and empty trash in the dining areaParticipate in other projects and activities as assignedMay be required to assist the snack bar cooks with:Preparing food items consistently with regards to brand standards and food safety standardsProvide food preparation by cleaning, washing, measuring, cuttingCook food items according to company recipes and proceduresKeeping supplies and foodstuffs ready by reporting low levels of food & food-prep supplies, condiments, napkins, straws, etc. for guest useMaintains safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following sanitation standards and procedures complying with legal regulationsEDUCATION/TRAINING/EXPERIENCEFood service experience preferred but not requiredFood handling certificate/safety certification may be requiredQUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTSExcellent communication, customer service, and problem-solving skillsStrong attention to detail, speed, and accuracyAbility to change tasks quickly and work in a fast-paced environmentStrong work ethic and a positive attitudeMust be available to work a flexible schedule that includes weekends, holidays, and eveningsExcellent communication, customer service, and problem-solving skillsESSENTIAL PHYSICAL DEMANDSMust be able to remain in a stationary position, occasionally in warm temperaturesConstant exposure to hot equipment and oil throughout the workday.Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbsAble to bend, twist, and stand to perform normal job functionsNorthgate provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local laws.
