Overview
The Payroll Administrator works as part of a team in the Payroll function, within the Finance department, responsible for payroll processes, computing wages, and ensuring that employee's are paid correctly and on schedule.
Responsibilities
Essential Duties and Responsibilities


  • Responsible for the preparation and processing of weekly and bi-weekly payrolls for over 2,400 employees and consultants
  • Ensure proper flow and maintenance of employee data, ensuring employee changes are entered correctly and timely
  • Review timecards for accuracy and approvals
  • Process garnishments payments and answers
  • Process state new hire reporting
  • Maintain employee records
  • Assist in administration of 401(k) plan, including weekly reconciliation/remittance
  • Run and analyze pre and post payroll reports
  • Respond to requests for employment verifications
  • Complete ad-hoc reporting for Finance, HR, and other departments as requested
  • Process stop payments and manual checks/pay cards as necessary
  • Assist employees with payroll related questions
  • Provide a professional level of customer service to internal and external customers
  • Assessment of problems/issues with the necessary escalation to Supervisor
  • All other duties as assigned


    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

    • Strong numerical aptitude and attention to detail
    • Ability to prioritize, work within deadlines, and multitask effectively
    • Well organized with strong communication skills, both verbal and written
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise extreme discretion

      Qualifications
      Education and/or Experience

      • Associates Degree in Business Administration or Finance preferred
      • Minimum of 3 years in a payroll related role, or combination of payroll, HR, and/or accounting, experienced in multi-state
      • UKG experience strongly preferred
      • Knowledge of Federal and State payroll laws
      • Knowledge of payroll tax and payroll accounting
      • Strong computer skills, including MS Office Suite
