Senior Staffing Administrator Category: Administrative/ Clerical Schedule: Full-time Facility: Good Samaritan Medical Center Shift: Day shift Department: CGS Nursing Admin Hours: 40 hrs- 7:00am-3:30pm Req Number: 53102 Union: No Job Details: Job Title: Senior Staffing Administrator Department: 0600.71900 Reports To: Director Staffing Job Code: xxxx FLSA Status: Exempt Position Summary: The Senior Staff Administrator is responsible for the oversight and supervision of the Staffing Department and staff, relating to the Nursing Division. Responsible for the day to day operations of the Staffing Department. The Senior Staff Administrator will report to the Director of Staffing and work in collaboration with Nursing Leadership: including Director of Nursing Education & Research and the CNO, VP Patient Care Services. The Senior Staffing Coordinator is privy to personal and organizational confidential information and must maintain the utmost discretion and confidentiality at all times. Key Reponsibilities: Oversees Staffing Dept. day to day operations and supervises staff (currently 1 Staffing Clerk) Manages Nursing Division staffing schedules and ensures accurate & compliant electronic record keeping, currently in ANSOS One Staff Software Forecasts weekly staffing needs with Nursing Leadership and adjusts as needed (in change person for decisions on nursing staffing replacements and schedules) Manages Department when Director of Staffing is off-site Oversees all schedule related planning sheets (e.g. daily, weekly, monthly, holiday & vacation) Identifies trends and runs reports from ANSOS including UTO reports Ensures accurate and timely record keeping and confirmations of per diem staff, agency staff and traveler staff Ensures accurate and up-to-date records are maintained on Nursing Division employees, including but not limited to MLOAs, and return to work status, and return to work processes (e.g. EHS and nursing education clearances). Oversees payroll exception information and ensures daily update of electronic payroll system (presently Kronos software and files, etc.) Monitors and ensures accuracy between Division electronic records & roll (ANSOS) s, and our System's payroll system (Kronos) Makes effective recommendations to Director of Staffing on Human Resource issues relating to staffing office including but not limited to: recruitment through interviewing, selecting and training employees, disciplinary actions, evaluations and communicating company policies Required Knowledge & Skills: Excellent communication skills. Ability to prioritize and handle diverse and concurrent tasks and projects. Ability to effectively supervise staff. Ability to work collaboratively and productively with Division staff and hospital leadership. Excellent critical thinking, decision making and electronic record keeping maintenance & management reporting skills Demonstrated knowledge working effectively and efficiently with statistical analysis and budgets Education: Bachelors Degree in Business, Hospital Administration or related field required & /or equivalent education & experience. Experience: 3 - 5 years of supervisory experience required with scheduling experience a must, preferably in a hospital environment Certification/Licensure: Not applicable Software/Hardware: Excel, ANSOS, KRONOS
