We're looking for a candidate to fill this position in an
Manage the day-to-day operations of the Professional Development
Center, including programming and scheduling.
Convene and facilitate meetings of the company Advisory Council,
and work with the Council to develop and promote a clear focus and
identity for the company's work on campus.
Work with academic, professional staff, classified staff and
non-unit professional leadership across campus to continually
assess professional development needs, align current offerings and
programs, and identify new opportunities for professional
Coordinate with governance committees, Human Resources, the
leadership team, and other college constituencies.
Manage the company budget and allocate resources to
support faculty and staff growth.
Develop and maintain a set of relevant professional resources -
both within the company and online - and ensure consistent
access to those resources for faculty and staff.
Work closely with the company Faculty Fellow to develop
and support professional development opportunities for faculty.
Collect feedback and data to evaluate professional development
programming at Massasoit, and revise programming based on that
Collaborate with the leadership team, governance committees, and
others on campus to develop programming for Convocation and other
college-wide professional development events.
Represent the company through participation in relevant
committees and events on and off campus.
Stay current on new developments in the field of professional
development/training, and foster connections to outside
organizations and professional development centers at other local
Master's degree in appropriate field.
Demonstrated leadership skills.
Experience with program management, including budgeting.
Experience working collaboratively with a wide and diverse range
Experience working in a higher education environment, preferably
a community college environment.
Knowledge of recent trends in professional development,
online/remote learning, and professional training.
Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication
Experience with academic professional development
Community college teaching experience.
Knowledge of research in community colleges.
