Conducts data quality reviews, and serves as trainer for other coding staff. Demonstrates a good understanding of MS-DRG and APC assignment and reimbursement . Assists in reconciling coding and billing issues. Supports and exemplifies the hospital established AEC Values and Standards of Behavior. Required Knowledge & Skills: Minimum of one to three years coding experience in an Acute Care Hospital. CCS required and RHIT/RHIA preferred. Education: High School Diploma, Must be a graduate of an AHIMA accredited program with completion of the CCS/RHIT/RHIA programs including the successful completion of the registration exam. Experience: Minimum of one to three years coding experience in an Acute Care Hospital preferred. Certification/Licensure: CCS required and RHIT/RHIA preferred Software/Hardware: Microsoft, Meditech preferred Additional InformationImportant COVID messagePlease note, our Good Samaritan Medical Center is taking additional, necessary preparations to ensure patients can receive compassionate care in a safe, carefully managed environment - with confidence and without fear.
