This role is within the Instrumentation and Specialty Control's
Brookfield Engineering Business unit. Viscometers, rheometers,
texture analyzers and powder flow testers used in R&D, QC and
inline applications for rheological fluid analysis,
tension/compression analysis and powder flow analysis. Markets
include food, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, oil and gas, personal
care products, adhesives, printing inks and coatings, paper
coatings, chemicals, packaging, plastics, construction materials,
Prepare, setup and serve a variety of foods for employee
consumption at lunch and break times.
Assist in maintaining inventory of goods for appropriate supply
availability. Work with Cafeteria Manager to develop weekly menu
and comprise list of orders for purveyors.
Prepare items for morning break.
Prepare soups, salads, and daily grill specials.
When required, assist with the preparation of cooked meals and
ensure highest quality and cleanliness standards are
Serve meals and apportion items as directed.
Clean food service area(s) after each meal or break.
Put washable items, cooking utensils and pots and pans in the
dishwasher. Pre-wash pots and pans by hand, as needed. Store clean
items in proper place.
Monitor coffee machine to ensure coffee availability throughout
the day and cleanliness is maintained at all times.
Put goods from deliveries in proper storage place, rotating
goods as applicable.
Primary back up for Cafeteria Manager during absences and
Maintain current food handling certification.
Setup cash register. Provide primary register coverage
throughout the day during break and lunch periods.
Perform administrative and support duties associated with the
operation of the cafeteria.
Maintain established quality standards. Ensure work area and
equipment are maintained in a clean, safe and orderly condition,
that prescribed safety measures are followed, and established
company policies and procedures are adhered to.
Perform other related duties as assigned or as required.
