Pre Registration Representative

Job Description:

Ensure that patients are registered with accurate insurance information for billing purposes. Make confirmation calls to patients to inform them of their pending appointment. Check eligibility on patients insurance. Call patients to clarify any insurance issues. Call self-pay patients to ensure patients understand the payment owed at the time of their visit. Call patient's PCP office if a referral is required. Call insurance carrier to question patient's benefits. Complete any special projects assigned by management. High school diploma or equivalent. Strong communication skills that ensure the ability to deal effectively and tactfully with patients, insurance carriers, and other employees. Previous experience in a healthcare environment required. Knowledge of IDX, modern office equipment, systems and procedures. Ability to operate computer and navigate the internet. Familiarity with Microsoft Word and Excel a plus.Location: Signature Healthcare Patient RegistrationSchedule: Full Time 40 Hours only, Days 1st Shift, 8:00am-4:30pm
